M2 PRESSWIRE-2 July 2003-O2: O2 to roll-out wireless LAN services across Europe(C)1994-2003 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD RDATE:07022003 O2 today announced plans to launch public wireless LAN (or 'wi-fi's) services in the UK later this year and increase the current number of live sites in Germany to complement its existing GPRS wide area mobile data networks.

UK customers will be offered a simple to use and secure service to approximately 1,000 wLAN sites across Europe. The company will also extend its current offering in Germany during this summer to include both prepay and post-paid pricing packages and increase the number of access points from 30 to more than 100.
