M2 PRESSWIRE-7 March 2005-ACCC: Telecommunications Access Dispute(C)1994-2005 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD RDATE:07032005 Hutchison Telecommunications (Australia) Limited and Hutchison 3G Australia have notified the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission of access disputes with Optus Networks Pty Limited, Optus Mobile Pty Limited and Optus Vision Pty Limited, under Part XIC of the Trade Practices Act 1974.
The disputes relate to the price paid by Hutchison for the Domestic Mobile Terminating Access Service* supplied by Optus by means of its mobile network. The ACCC has begun the arbitration process for this access dispute. Given that the legislation contemplates that arbitrations be conducted in private, the ACCC will not be making any public comment...
