Impax Laboratories Inc. (NASDAQ: IPXLE) said it has received Food and Drug Administration approval for its generic version of Shire Pharmaceutical Group's (NASDAQ: SHPGY) Agrylin capsules. They are used to reduce the elevated platelet count and the risk of thrombosis, and to ameliorate associated symptoms of thrombocythemia, including thrombo-hemorrhagic events.
