M2 PRESSWIRE-3 June 2005-QANTAS AIRWAYS: Qantas dismisses second baggage handler(C)1994-2005 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD RDATE:03062005 Sydney: Qantas said today it had dismissed a second baggage handler as a result of information arising from the current investigation into the alleged cocaine smuggling operation at Sydney International Airport.

This follows the dismissal of a baggage handler and one of the airline's security managers last month. The Chief Executive Officer of Qantas, Mr Geoff Dixon, said the airline had been working closely with the NSW Crime Commission, the NSW Police and the Australian Federal Police throughout the investigation, and continued to do so.
