This year fellowships of $5,000 were awarded to 60 of the nation's top college seniors to support their graduate study.

Wood plans to use her Fellowship to attend the College of William & Mary Law School in the fall. A Kansas State University senior in political science and philosophy, Wood was a 2005 Truman scholarship finalist. She is a member of Phi Kappa Phi honor society.
