The company operates about 75 tankers, including both Suezmaxes and VLCCs (very large crude carriers), that have an overall capacity of some 18 million deadweight tons.
Operating primarily on short-term contracts, the company's VLCCs transport oil from the Middle East to the Far East, Northern Europe, the Caribbean, and Louisiana in the US. Its Suezmaxes are used mainly between Atlantic Basin and the Middle East and Southeast Asia. Frontline charters many of its vessels from a former subsidiary, Ship Finance International.
