M2 PRESSWIRE-1 June 2007-UK Government: Aberdeen coastguard coordinate rescue of diver in Moray Firth(C)1994-2007 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD RDATE:31052007 Aberdeen Coastguard has coordinated the rescue of a diver from the sea this afternoon at Rosehearty near Fraserburgh. The diver had become separated from his buddy close to the shore and had been unable to get back to shore through the breakers.

His buddy made it to the shore and called a friend who called 999 for the Coastguard at 4.30pm. Aberdeen Coastguard was aware that Rescue Helicopter 137 was flying on exercise nearby and asked them to go to the scene immediately.
