WASHINGTON -- The World Bank and the Republic of Togo today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) concerning the process of clearance of arrears owed by Togo to the institution. The agreement builds upon the recommendations of the joint World Bank / International Monetary Fund / African Development Bank of November 28 to December 11, 2007. The main objective of this Memorandum is to lay out the steps toward full clearance of arrears owed by the Republic of Togo to the World Bank, and the resumption of a normal program with the World Bank.
