Byline: Victor Morton, THE WASHINGTON TIMES There is a scene in "Time of the Wolf" that has to be experienced in a theater. Think of the famous horizon shot of Omar Sharif in "Lawrence of Arabia." Only this shot is the opposite: It's night in the countryside in a post-apocalyptic world with no electricity.

Everything is pitch black. Suddenly, after seeing a close-up of a burning branch, there's a speck of glowing orange off in the distance. But the effect is paralyzing and terrifying, because we don't know what's coming, and there's no source of light beyond ...
