Byline: Marguerite Higgins, THE WASHINGTON TIMES Stephen J. McHale is heading up the homeland security practice at Patton Boggs LLP as a partner in the firm's public policy and regulation practice. Mr. McHale, 49, comes to the law firm after serving as the deputy administrator for the Transportation Security Administration.
He has worked for the federal agency since its inception in January 2002. TSA was formed in response to the September 11 terrorist attacks and federalized aviation security, which required the largest mobilization of a civilian government agency since World War II.
