A bipartisan group of Capitol Hill lawmakers is threatening to limit or block the Air Force's choice of a foreign company to build its $40 billion in air tankers, forcing military leaders to outline why it's the best deal.
Sen. Sam Brownback, Kansas Republican, is threatening to use the federal budgeting process to halt the tanker project awarded to North American arm of the European Aeronautic Defense and Space Company (EADS), and its U.S. partner, Northrop Grumman.
