Ludicrous to say honey junk food

Grocer, Feb 10, 2007 by Rita Cooper

SIR; I listened with horror to the FSA statement this week on BBC Breakfast that, among other surprising products, honey was considered to be junk food. I thought the Editor of The Grocer spoke very sensibly and I totally agree with him. Manuka honey, for instance, is very good for combating MRSA and ulcers, so hardly qualifies as junk.

The cereal bowls were full to overflowing. How can this be representative of what people eat? And what sort of message are they sending out to the younger generation? I have written to the FSA to make my feelings known. I hope you win your fight with them. I for one am with you 100%.
