Peter Rabbit Organics has appointed Margreet Westerhuis as managing director for the UK.
Westerhuis joins the company from Whole Foods Market. For the past two years, she has been European own label director responsible for developing more than 350 own label products for the launch of the first UK Whole Foods Market store in Kensington, London, earlier this year.
She had been independent natural food chain Fresh & Wild's commercial director before its was acquired by Whole Foods Market in 2004. Westerhuis was involved in the due diligence throughout the acquisition process and played a key part in the integration and transitional process following the takeover.

"Joining the dedicated Peter Rabbit Organics team means I can continue my passion of bringing great tasting, healthy, organic food to families across the UK," said Westerhuis, who also sits on the Soil Association Multiple Retailer Working Group Committee.
Founder and director of Peter Rabbit Organics Elizabeth Buxton said Westerhuis's skills and experience would be a great asset to the company.
"Under her leadership we are confident our UK business will grow and prosper," said Buxton. "We are each dedicated to the goal of promoting the Peter Rabbit Organics brand in order to improve the dietary habits of children."
Recently Peter Rabbit Organics branched out from grocery and launched a range of fresh fruit in Waitrose aimed at children.
