The British Heart Foundation says eating one bug of crisps per day equates to consuming five litres of oil every year--and many children eat more than that. Health will continue to drive NPD, with baked snacks and vegetable crisps becoming more popular. But Mintel predicts mixed nut snacks, seeds, dried fruit and fruit and cereal bars could take market share from crisps.
