Steve Lusk of Lusk Building & Remodeling Co., Inc. was named the National Association of Home Builders Remodelors Council's Remodelor of the Month for February. Lusk was chosen through a judging process by selected council leadership. The program seeks to celebrate council individuals who stand out among the more than 6,800 members.

James W. Huston, a partner at Morrison & Foerster LLP, was inducted into the American Board of Trial Advocates. The organization honors the jury trial system, requiring invited members to have tried 20 cases before a jury, with at least 10 of those being civil cases. The Starmack Group has been awarded six Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International Adrian Advertising Awards for several advertising projects. The honors include a Gold Adrian Award for Best Property Brochure, three silver Adrian Awards for Best Property Web Site, Best Internet Communications Program, Best Corporate Web Site Design, two Bronze Adrian Awards for Advertising Campaign Series and Best Individual Print Advertisement. The international awards were created to honor and showcase the best in hospitality and travel advertising, marketing materials, public relations and Web site design and development. Girl Scouts, San Diego-Imperial Council Chief Executive Officer Jo Dee C. Jacob received the Executive Excellence Award from Nonprofit Management Solutions, honoring Jacob for her achievement, performance, leadership and governance. NMS awarded Jacob with a $2,000 grant, which she will apply to Girl Scout program activities. Hilton Hotels Corp. recognized Joseph Wong Design Associates for providing "superior service" in its support of the development of the Hilton Family of Hotels. JWDA has provided architectural services to Hilton, including Hilton Hotels, Embassy Suites, Double-Tree Hotels and Red Lion Inn.
