Avanir Pharmaceuticals has hired Martin Sturgeon as vice president and chief accounting officer. Before joining Avanir, Sturgeon spent three years with the financial consulting firm DLC Inc. as interim chief accounting officer and corporate controller. Deborah Rocco, Amylin Pharmaceuticals chief learning officer, has joined the board of directors at the San Diego State University College of Business Administration.
