Ciao Bella aids student's quest to help kids
San Diego Business Journal, March 26, 2007 by Liz Wiedemann
Ciao Bella Hair Salon planned to hold a Cut-a-Thon at the Rancho Bernardo salon March 25, benefiting a high school student's fund-raiser.
Sophie Laing, an 11th-grade student at La Jolla Country Day School, initiated the event to benefit abused and abandoned children in Zapallal, Peru. Following her family's recent trip to La Comunidad de Ninos Sagrada Familia in Zapallal, Laing planned the event to give back to the organization.
Nearly 100 people had registered for the event as of last week.
Ciao Bella held a similar fund-raiser in 2006, benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
