Duane J. Roth has been named chairman of the board of directors of the College of Business at San Diego State University. Roth is chairman and chief executive officer of Alliance Pharmaceutical Corp. Tina Travierso has been promoted to senior enterprise training consultant for New Horizons Computer Learning Center.
Travierso was also honored with an award for top performance in 2003 between glee franchise centers. Three professors at UCSD have been elected fellows of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. Ted J. Case, professor of biology; Scott David Emr, professo? of cellular and molecular medicine and a Howard Hughes Medical Institute investigator; and Nolan R. Wallach, professor of mathematics, were among the 178 new fellows and 24 new foreign honorary members elected to the Cambridge, Mass., academy.
