The city of El Cajon has received excellence awards from the California Society of Municipal Finance Officers and the Government Finance Officers Association in budgeting and financial reporting.
Additionally, the city was the recipient of excellence awards for capital budgeting and development of the city's five-year business plan.
El Cajon Finance Director Mike Shelton says, "We take great pride in the professional distinction this provides to the city and citizens of El Cajon."
