CFO's contributions to organization's growth and profitability
In under seven years, Foletta has led the completion of a number of high-profile transactions as well as increased Amylin's visibility in the financial space. Since 2001, he has guided the execution of four follow-on public offerings, two convertible debt offerings and one Private Investment in Public Equity (PIPE).
Financial visibility was a strong growth factor for Amylin, led by Foletta and his team. He increased analyst coverage for Amylin from three banking firms in early 2000 to 22 firms currently.
CFO's contributions to other areas of the organization
Foletta works with the human resources team so he can be involved with employees at new hire and "Management Development at Amylin" programs. At these programs, he shares the culture of Amylin and his perspectives on the company's growth over time. In addition, he visits field employees to better understand BYETTA and SYMLIN customers and addresses the challenges of promoting the products.
Foletta is also an invaluable member of several committees at Amylin, offering a dimension of financial expertise to the committee's initiatives. Currently, he participates on the Executive Committee, Strategy Committee, Administration Committee and Operating Committee.
