Local Tv Travel Series Receives Emmy Award

Jeffery Lahmann, the intrepid host of Weekend Explorer, a television series on PBS; was recently awarded an Emmy of Television Art and Sciences. A segment of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. A segment of the award-winning program was filmed in San Diego, and ConVis helped sponsor and underwrite this show.

"We are very proud to be part of this fascinating program," said Reint Reinders, president and CEO of ConVis. "San Diego is obviously a photogenic destination and to be featured on Weekend Explorer on national public television was quite an honor," he added.

The Weekend Explorer television series focuses on adventure travel and eco-tourism distinations in North America. In addition to being aired on PBS, it is also shown in-flight on Delta Airlines and in over a dozen foreign countries including translation into three foreign languages.
