Barry Kohn, owner of Barry J. Kohn CPA, has been elected president of the San Diego chapter of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants for the 2006-2007 term. Kohn was previously the chapter's vice president. Ernest Reyes, founding owner, president and chief executive officer of Network Realty, and Stephen Cushman, the president of Cush Enterprises, have been named to the U.S.

Small Business Administration's Regulatory Fairness Board for Region IX. Reyes has been a real estate broker and agent for more than 30 years. Cushman owned Cush Travel for 25 years and went on to own Cush Automotive Group until January. Ernst & Young LLP has promoted John Clift and Michael Verbeck to partners. Clift has significant experience in complying with Securities and Exchange Commission requirements and technical accounting issues for companies in the life sciences and technology industries. Verbeck has more than 13 years of combined client service and financial industry experience. Throughout his career, Verbeck has focused on serving the real estate industry.
