> David W. Down, managing partner of KPMG LLP in San Diego, has been named to the board of directors of the College of Business at San Diego State University. Down is a 1976 School of Accountancy alumnus of SDSU. In that same year, Down joined KPMG and was admitted to the partnership in 1987. In 1994 he was named managing partner of the San Diego office and in 1998 became the Pacific Southwest area partner.
