U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Stephen Johnson presented the President's Volunteer Service Award to Dr. Gordon Forward. He serves as chairman emeritus of the U.S. BSCD, a nonprofit coalition of businesses that promotes sustainable development initiatives. Forward is a member of the National Academy of Engineering and is past president and chief executive officer of Chaparral Steel.
