Catherine Mackey, senior vice president of New York-based Pfizer Inc.'s global research and development operations in La Jolla, has been elected to the La Jolla-based California Healthcare Institute board of directors, the board announced. Mackey has more than 25 years of experience in the fields of pharmaceutical research and development as well as agricultural biotechnology. Since 2001, Mackey has served as site director of Pfizer La Jolla. This year, she became responsible for leading the company's external research network for the Western U.S. region.
