Escondido power plant plan goes before the public
San Diego Business Journal, Oct 21, 2002
The California Energy Commission will conduct a public workshop Oct. 22 to discuss a proposed Sempra Energy Resources power plant in Escondido.
The Palomar Energy Project is a 500-megawatt plant proposed to be built in the Escondido Research and Technology Center industrial park. The workshop will deal with a revised mitigation proposal and address issues relating to the use of reclaimed water in wet cooling towers and alternative cooling options.
The public will have an opportunity to comment and ask questions during the workshop, which will be conducted from 3-7 p.m. on Oct. 22 at the California Center for the Arts, Escondido, at 340 N. Escondido Blvd. in Escondido.
