San Diego Business Journal, Oct 17, 2005 by Mike Allen
Sale In Seattle: Carlsbad-based Wow Inc., which provides program management and consulting services to doctors and hospitals involved in treating morbid obesity, said it has agreed to purchase Sound Health Solutions, a Seattle firm that's in much the same line, for an undisclosed amount of stock and cash.
Once the deal is completed sometime in the fourth quarter, the acquired firm will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of iVow. SHS has 22 full-time employees.
In other news, the company, whose shares are traded on Nasdaq, conducted a 1-for-10 reverse stock split that reduced outstanding shares from 21.2 million to about 2.1 million. As of Oct. 12, the first day of trading under the reduced stock arrangement, shares now trading under the ticker IVOWD were at $3, giving the company a market capitalization of $63.5 million.
