Saab Awards Franchise to Marvin K. Brown Auto Center
San Diego Business Journal, Oct 22, 2001
Saab Cars USA, Inc. has announced a new Saab retail partner -- currently the only authorized Saab dealer in the city of San Diego.
Recently awarded a franchise to join Saab's nationwide network of dealerships, Mission Valley-based Marvin K. Brown Auto Center is now selling and servicing the complete line of Swedish-built Saab 9-3 and 9-5 automobiles.
Jim Brown, president of Marvin K. Brown, said he was proud of the opportunity to sell Saab vehicles locally.
Brown's father, Marvin K. Brown, founded the company as a Cadillac dealership in 1950, located in the Downtown area. Jim Brown moved the dealership to its present Mission Valley location in 1967 and added other vehicle franchises.
With San Diego's exclusive Saab dealership, Brown and his sales and service staff are committed to building a loyal foundation of lifetime Saab customers, he said.
The only other Saab dealer in the county is Continental Motors of Oceanside, according to the Saab Web site, (saabusa.com).
