The U.S. House of Representatives and Senate have passed tariff reductions that will benefit two Arkansas businesses: Sanyo Manufacturing at Forrest City and Eastman Chemical Corp. at Batesville. The provisions eliminate a 4.5 percent tariff on LCD display panels and another tariff on crotonaldehyde, which is used in herbicides. Sanyo employs 650 people, Eastman about 500.
