The McAlister Co., a clothing manufacturer in Little Rock, is not owned by Ram Venture Holdings Corp. or its predecessor, American Apparel and Accessories Inc., as was incorrectly reported in the Aug. 16 issue of Arkansas Business. American Apparel, which was formed by John Lewis and MLR Enterprises Inc., acquired McAlister from Dave and Jason Perry in April 1999.
However, it was sold in October 2003 to a joint venture of C.R. Daniels of Ellicott City, Md., and Hunter Trading Co. LLC of Southaven, Miss. McAlister, therefore, was not part of American Apparel's reverse merger into Ram Venture in April.
