Gisela Err received the Helene Cecil Leadership Award and William Huff received the National Chicken Council Broiler Research Award from the Poultry Science Association in Savoy, Ill. Erf, whose research is in avian immunology with a specialization in cell-mediated immunology, teaches graduate and undergraduate courses at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.
Huff is an adjunct professor at the university and a microbiologist with the U.S. Department of Agriculture's poultry production and product safety research unit.
