The Arkansas Department of Finance & Administration said purchases made with American Red Cross assistance cards and vouchers by Hurricane Katrina victims and evacuees are exempt from state and local sales taxes. They include purchases made with these types of payment: Red Cross client assistance cards, Red Cross debit cards and Red Cross vouchers.
