Sec'y Dole Wants OSHA To Speed Rule Making Washington - U.S. Labor Secretary Elizabeth Hanford Dole wants to step up the pace of rule making at the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, according to Gerald Scannell, Assistant Secretary for Occupational Safety and Health. The most important safety and health issues facing OSHA will be ergonomics, workplace drug and substance abuse, motor vehicle safety and indoor air quality, he said.

The agency will later this year propose a new standard on process safety management of highly hazardous chemicals, according to Mr. Scannell.
