Ga. Appeals Court Decertifies Class Action Auto Complaint The Georgia Court of Appeals has ordered decertification of a class action complaint against Aetna Casualty & Surety Co. involving more than 300 Atlanta motorists injured in car crashes. The order could trigger additional class decertification involving complaints by thousands of other Georgians, who are seeking more than $100 million in "bad faith" damages from no-fault auto insurance carriers.

"This is clearly a victory for us," said one of two attorneys defending Hartford, Conn.-based Aetna in the suit - W. Ray Persons, a partner in Atlanta firm of Arrington & Hollowell.
