The United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company has formed a new insurance company in its largest market, Mississippi. The new insurance company will be known as the USF&G Insurance Company of Mississippi, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Baltimore, MD.-based USF&G. Mississippi has been USF&G's most important state for nearly 100 years.

The Mississippi market represents over 7 percent of USF&G's business, and produced over $180 million in premium in 1992, according to USF&G Executive Vice President Warren Coupland.
