In an effort to reflect the changes that have occurred over the last three years at USF&G Insurance, the company has unveiled a new corporate logo which depicts light streaming through an open door. Over the last three years, USF&G has gone through a "dramatic transformation," according to Norm Blake, chairman of the Baltimore, Md.-based insurer.
"About 90 percent of our senior management is new since 1991, 70 percent of our field management is new and 60 percent of our officers are new," he said. "The logo--a light shining through a door--is representative of the creative energy of our people," he added. The company decided on a new logo rather than revamping the old one, which was a ship's wheel with an American eagle perched on it holding a shield...
