J. Robert Hunter, who resigned as Texas insurance commissioner last month, will be returning to advocacy on behalf of insurance consumers, having accepted a job as director of insurance for the Consumer Federation of America. Mr. Hunter will be bringing his former colleagues at the National Insurance Consumer Organization with him to the Washington-based CFA.

NICO, which Mr. Hunter founded in 1980, will be folded into CFA and will effectively become the insurance arm of that organization, a non-profit association of about 240 pro-consumer groups. James H.
