A California Superior Court judge's removal as arbiter in a dispute between reinsurers and the liquidator of Missions Ins. Co. could lead to the magistrates removal in two other related cases. Allstate Ins. Co. has asked the California Court of Appeals to remove Judge Kurt J. Lewin from its dispute with Mission's liquidator on the same grounds that an appellate court panel removed the magistrate in the dispute between Copenhagen Reins.
