If there is ever a fire at a company, that business will likely have a fire-evacuation plan that tells employees how they are to proceed. Ditto for tornadoes. But that does not hold true for. incidents of workplace violence, according to Beth Lindamood, assistant product manager in the workers' compensation division of Cincinnati-based Great.
American Insurance Companies. She heads the insurer's recently introduced workplace violence prevention program. "If a fire occurs, most employees know that the procedure is to evacuate the building," Ms. Lindamood said.
