E-Commerce Security Suite Announced.

A suite of services to cover electronic commerce security breaches--including first- and third-party losses from hacking and other intrusions--is being jointly developed by Sedgwick and IBM, the companies announced. According to an announcement by New York-based Sedgwick and IBM, the services will wrap insurance coverage developed by Sedgwick around a broad array of IBM consulting services.

The combination is designed to help companies control security breaches, reduce related risk, and address "security concerns that have kept many companies from venturing onto the Internet with electronic commerce activities," the announcement said.
