Corporate officers have little to worry about in terms of the pricing or availability of property insurance coverage needed to repair or replace buildings and equipment damaged by fire, wind, hail, explosion or natural catastrophes, insurance experts say. With the exception of businesses with key facilities directly situated in hurricane zones and along earthquake fault lines, coverage is widely available, they say.
And, like most forms of insurance, the property insurance market is competitive, keeping premiums at low levels. A scan of Internet Web sites of some of biggest players in the commercial property and boiler and machinery markets also shows an array of product coverage and services available.
