Benefits Access, Inc., a CIGNA company, has announced a strategic relationship with Healtheon Corp. to acquire enhanced Internet capability and data management for BA'S administration and online benefits enrollment services. Healtheon, based in Santa Clara, Calif., provides Internet-based e-commerce services that link doctors and consumers with health care institutions.

Hartford-based BA said the relationship will enable it to provide corporate administrative services, such as benefits eligibility determinations, enrollment and elections management. BA will adapt Healthon's Internet-based service to provide employers and employees with benefits management and online enrollment, said a Benefits Access announcement.
