The best-performing Lloyd's syndicates have above-average capacity and write composite business; while the worst-performing ones are in the motor sector or write a general liability book, according to standard & Poor's recently leased annual Lloyd's Syndicate Performance Measure. "Generally the composite vehicles appear to be outperforming the market" and particularly the more-specialized, single-sector syndicates, Kevin Willis, director of S&P Insurance Ratings in London, said in an interview.
