Just 12 percent of employee benefit managers responding to a recent survey by Watson Wyatt Worldwide say their organizations get excellent results from their health plans in terms of employee satisfaction. Only 13 percent got excellent outcomes in terms of cost, according to the survey. For the survey, the firm's second annual study of best practices in vendor management, the benefit managers, who represent large employer groups including corporations and public entities, were asked to rate their success in achieving desired outcomes from their health plan vendors on an ascending scale of 1 to 5.
