WHILE IT'S STILL TOO EARLY to ring in the New Year, it is never too early to start planning for it. In 2005, the alternative risk-transfer community will be confronted by a variety of issues and developments, some of which are perking along already. Although the following "hot" topics are in no particular order of importance, their impact may be substantial, depending on the events that unfold in 2005.
