Low-power radio ad firm signals its move into area A low-power radio transmission firm, which sells "parking lot advertising," has made its first move to enter the Cleveland market. INR Technologies Inc. of Canoga Park, Calif., recently named a distributor to sell what INR calls its "drive-buy" mini-radio stations in Cleveland.
The distributor is Radio Technologies Inc. of Milwaukee. Roy Anderson, president of Radio Technologies, said he's looking for sales representatives in Cleveland to begin selling the service as soon as possible. Steve Rand, founder and executive vice president of INR, said a low-power FM radio station can transmit signals within a radius of 150 to 500 feet.
