Clinic cleared of race bias, but EKG staff upset noted The U.S. Department of Labor, in its second probe of racial bias at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in the last 18 months, said it has found no evidence that the hospital discriminated against black employees in the EKG section of the cardiology department.

Although a report issued July 10 by the Labor Department's Office of Federal Contract Compliance here cleared the Clinic of charges of racial discrimination in the section, it also indicated there were problems which both black and white employees had with certain management practices in EKG.
