Takeover may cost 50 jobs at Ticketron. (Ticketmaster Corp.'s takeover of computerized ticket-selling business)

Roughly 15 full-time and 35 part-time employees of Tickertron's regional office in Independence either have left their jobs or may lose them as a result of Ticketmaster Corp.'s takeover last week of the computerized ticket-selling business, according to Ticketron's former district director here.

"In my opinion, it's apparent that the Ticketron office will close," said Jim Szakacs, who was Ticketron's district director before resigning April 30. After his resignation, Mr. Szakacs said, the three top account executives in the office also resigned and weren't replaced.
