Economic booster. (Rockwell International Corp. Rocketdyne Div. considers bringing more than 100 jobs in Cleveland)

Economic booster Rocketdyne, the California-based prime contractor for the space station electrical power system, is studying whether it can bring more than 100 jobs here as part of an effort to pump more money from the $1.4-billion NASA project into the Cleveland-area economy. The division of Rockwell International Corp., under pressure from NASA Lewis Research Center and local congressional members, is considering moving all of the electrical power system's final, pre-launch hardware testing to NASA Lewis in Brook Park from the Rocketdyne facilities in California, said Jerry Friefeld, Rocketdyne's space station marketing manager.
