Main Place lands 2 tenants. (International Business Machines Corp. and First National Bank of Ohio) (Akron Close-Up)

Developer and industrialist David Brennan has hit pay dirt for Main Place, his new downtown Akron office building, by signing leases with two corporate tenants to fill 60% of the building. The signings of International Business Machines Corp. and First National Bank of Ohio as tenants were announced on the same day as the project's official groundbreaking.

The dirt actually started flying last summer, when the city of Akron razed buildings on the site to start excavating it for Main Place. The city had an agreement to sell the cleared land to the developer. IBM said it has leased up to 48,000 square feet in Main Place I for its marketing and service organization. Cosmo P.
